OnAir is a streaming platform for live channels and creator broadcasts, on the web, on iPhone and Android, and as a desktop app for macOS, Windows and Linux. About OnAir
The problem
Live television and creator streaming are two different products in most people's hands, and a creator going live is usually buried under a catalogue.
What OnAir does about it
Both, with the person first. Someone broadcasting from their own channel is the loudest thing on screen even when they are the only one; the 24/7 channels and programmed shows live under TV, where a catalogue belongs.
How the money works
A creator keeps 95% of what arrives on a direct payment — the card fee comes off before the split, so the number they see is the number they get. Advertising is 60/40. Premium subscribers see no adverts, so their creators are paid out of a share of the subscription instead, with a floor of a cent per watched hour — before this, a creator's most valuable viewer was their least profitable one.
What it will not do
Points and channel coins are earned, never bought. Golden coins are bought and can never be cashed out. Money in, chance, and a prize with cash value are gambling's three elements; the design closes the third deliberately.
