What Reclaim costs, what it promises, and what you accept when a tool deletes files.

What this is
Reclaim is a macOS application published by JKULDEV LLC. Using it means accepting these terms. They are short on purpose.
What it costs
Scanning is free and unlimited. Clearing anything Reclaim classes as Safe is free and unlimited. Items that need a judgement call unlock with a Gossip account or a key.
A key covers one Mac at a time and can be moved: removing it in Reclaim releases it for another machine. Keys are checked on your Mac, not on a server, so an outage cannot lock you out of one you have paid for.
Refunds
If a key does not do what this page says it does, write to us and we will refund it. There is no time limit on that and no form to fill in.
What Reclaim promises
It removes only what you tick. Every item is explained before it is removed, and items it will not remove say so and name the tool that will.
Whatever can be recovered is moved to the Trash rather than erased. Items that the Trash cannot help with — caches that would simply reappear — are erased, and the app says which is which before you confirm.
What you accept
Deleting files is permanent. You choose what goes. Reclaim shows you the size, the location and the consequence of each item, and asks you to confirm, but the decision is yours and some of it cannot be undone.
Keep backups. Any tool that removes files can meet a case its author did not foresee. A current backup is the answer to that, for this tool and for every other one.
No warranty, and the limit of our liability
Reclaim is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent the law allows, JKULDEV LLC is not liable for lost data, lost profits, or any indirect or consequential damage arising from using Reclaim. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid us for Reclaim in the twelve months before the claim — which, for most people, is nothing.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to you only as far as that jurisdiction permits.
The threat audit is not antivirus
Reclaim reports startup items, unsigned launch agents, hosts-file changes and browser extensions, with the evidence. It removes none of them and it is not an antivirus product. Treat it as a second opinion, not a defence.
Fair use
Do not redistribute a key, present Reclaim as your own product, or use it to remove files from a machine you do not administer.
Ending it
Delete the app. If you hold a key, removing it in the app releases it. We may stop issuing new keys at any time; keys already issued keep working until they expire, because they are verified offline and need nothing from us.
Governing law
The laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
